Hotel Review: Hotel 45, Baguio City

This hotel was recommended to us by one of our friends because it’s really affordable. We only paid Php1100 per night, good for 2 persons, their off peak rate is Php800 per night. It is very accessible, located near session road, just a 5-minute walk away from SM City Baguio. We rode a taxi from Victory Liner Terminal and paid Php50. The hotel’s check-in time is at 2 PM, since we arrived early, they required us to wait at their lobby.

I was kinda disappointed on the hotel’s free breakfast, typical silog meals plus 3-in-1 coffee. I was hoping for a buffet meal, we had to buy 2 cup noodles and the coffee did not taste good so we had to walk to the nearest Starbucks Coffee Shop every morning.

The room was clean but you can feel that the building was really old because some parts of the room were rusty. The bathroom has a shower and heater, but the heater was kinda busted we would have to plug it real tight in order for it to work. But thank God it did work, I can’t bathe with icy waters. The room also has a tiny television, I called it Jurassic TV, I think it has been there since 1980s.

Pros

Location. It is a minute away from SM Baguio, and surrounded by major establishments like McDonald’s and Starbucks.
Affordable. One of the most affordable hotels in Baguio.
Free breakfast. I know the breakfast was not a buffet breakfast but for what we paid for, it’s a bonus.

Cons

The place is a little old. It was not well maintained, you can see that the place is really old.

Are we coming back? We don’t mind staying at Hotel 45 again, but we want to choose another hotel next time we go to Baguio.
