Hotel Review: Marriott Hotel at Resorts World Manila

We were lucky that my aunt who is also our Ninang works for a big travel agency as a manager and she gave us a hotel voucher, a one-night stay w/ free breakfast/parking, as a wedding a gift. Thank you Ninang! We decided to use it on my birthday.

PROs

Warm welcome. We expected this since it is a five-star hotel. They also offer refreshments when you arrive. The bell boys, concierge and other staff are very responsive when you ask for assistance.

The room was very cozy. We feel we were at home and the bed was a winner. The bathroom was awesome. The shower vas very nice and the tub, you’ll know that it is very expensive. They offer almost everything in a hotel room like combs, hair dryer, shampoo, soaps, coffee… everything! They even have free ripe mangoes for snack. You will need to call the cafeteria if you request for drinking water and they will knock on your room in less than five minutes. You will have your portfolio in your tv-set. It will notify you if you have transactions.

Fast and honest service. When we logged in to their WiFi network, we had no idea that we have to pay for it. I called their concierge and confirmed that it is supposed to be for free so they credit back the WiFi service fee. It really amazed me.

The buffet breakfast was amazing. They have a lot of choices. They offer international and Filipino flavors. Try their beef tapa, danggit and frank sausages. Trust me, they were so good!

They have sauna. You can find the sauna area right beside the pool. It can accommodate  up to 30 people.

CONs

Pool ambiance. The pool was great with a bar available nearby but the ambiance and the surroundings is a little dull, you won’t feel that you are on vacation. There’s no view at all. But I’m sure you will not mind if you are only staying here during a layover.

How to get to Marriott Hotel Manila

Take Skyway and take Airport Exit and turn right at Newport Blvd.

If you decided to skip Skyway:
1. Take SLEX, exit at Sucat Road and follow my steps below
2. Drive through Sucat Road (they named it Dr A Santos Ave but most people just call it Sucat Road)
3. Turn right to Domestic Road
4. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Newport Blvd.
5. Turn left onto Resort Drive and turn left again.

For other transportation options with the exception of taxi cabs, Uber and Grab, I’ll refer you to their website.  It’s quite a number of options and you can choose what route you want to take.

Manila Marriott Hotel is located at 2 Resorts Drive, Pasay City. Just right in front of NAIA Terminal 3 and right beside Resorts World/Newport Cinemas and its impossible to miss it.
